Moving Image- Week 6- Day in the life

Day in the life

A female punk member of the 80s would wake up in a second hand bed and get her skinny jeans with black shirt and a black leather jacket on. And otherwise she would have also in her closet: Studded or spiked clothing and bracelets; Tartan, camouflage, animal print and blood stains; Ripped clothing held together with safety pins; Band t-shirts, punk band patches; Bullet belts; Fishnets or other accessories like arm warmers and wristbands. Nearly all of the garments would be from a second hand/charity shop and pimped up in the own way to add a DIY-look to it. She would put on her Dr.Martens and style her short bright red hair to a Mohawk style. After getting ready she would head out to meet her friends either on the street in their regular place or heading over to the next record shop. After a chilling morning she would go back home and cook a simple lunch for saving money eating outside. Then she would head outside again to the next tattoo studio to let make her third tattoo. It the evening she would meet her friends again and go with them to the Roxy club to listen to punk rock. She would stay there until very early morning hours.

Topshop- The Lanterns

'The Laterns' is a Topshop film that launched to Chinese New Years Celebration just before the opening of a new store in Hong Kong. Sweet models, most fabulous London locations, Christmas melodies, rock chic. All in one very Christmassy, but some would say there is nothing Chinese in this film despite a model. 

NEWGEN/TEN

‘Newgen-Ten’ is a Topshop film for the 10^th anniversary of the sponsoring of British Fashion Council's NEWGEN scheme. It is directed by Nick Knight and showcases one-off collections created for Topshop by the greatest of Great British fashion. A funky fun making in-studio shot fashion film. 

Topshop SS13 Lookbook 

Topshop’s Spring Summer Lookbook 2013 includes fantastic bold colours and textures, which have been also applied to the background and editing. Topshop keeps keeping its commercials fun and young. 

Topshop Christmas Fashion Film 2010

Topshop’s Christmas Fashion Film of 2010 has an interesting vintage touch in it. It is shot on-location and showcases one model in different party dresses, dancing and moving around her bedroom and a plain wall.

Topshop Denim Collection Film for S/S 12 Lookbook

The Topshop Denim Collection Film from 2012 is probably the best video to demonstrate Topshop’s fashion film signature style, which has to include one or more models, which present the clothes in diverse fun poses and dance movements supported by energetic music.
